A new online survey queries residents on frequency of pickup, as well as their thoughts on the new single-stream recycling service.

VENICE — The city of Venice is using an online survey to solicit feedback on garbage collection and recycling services.

The survey is meant for city residents who use cart service for trash and recycling collection and not for dumpster service.

It asks for typical demographic data, including the number of residents in each household and whether the respondent is a year-round or part-time resident, as well as how many months they typically spend in Venice.

It also asks about whether residents would consider a reduction of garbage collection from twice-a-week to once-a-week, which would carry with it a reduction of the monthly garbage service bill of between $1 and $2 .

It also asks about the new single-stream recycling service.

Only one survey per household should be completed.
